Sociedad Mexicana de Cactología, A.C. "By spreading knowledge, improving the understanding and conservation of cacti and succulent plants"

The Mexican Cactus Society is a non-governmental organization organised by amateurs and scientists on a non-profit basis. Currently it has associations with recognized cacti and succulent specialist researchers as well as many enthusiasts everywhere in the world. The Society has the following objectives: the study of the succulent plants, mainly the Mexican species, as well as their conservation, propagation and the promotion of their popularity. A magazine called Cactáceas y Suculentas Mexicanus has been published quarterly since 1955. The Mexican Cactus Society holds monthly meetings, organizes excursions to various places of botanical and natural interest, in addition it has affiliated societies in several states of the Mexican Republic. The society welcomes anybody from any part of the world who like cacti and succulent plants and that wish to collaborate with us.
